K-POP Belgium Society in the press!
Promoting Korean culture despite controversy or stereotypes is our goal. With every press release about K-POP, we found there are still a lot of stereotypes and wrong information circling around. Often the press focuses on sensation and their own subjective opinion, instead of what has been proven about the K-POP culture. Which is that the K-POP community is strong and supporting, loving and caring, and that they are all passionate about South Korea. And that, as in each culture, there are positive and negative things to be found in, but this makes it even more relatable for us.
Even Korean media wants to know what drives us to organize Korean events.
A reporter of Yonhap news wrote a Korean article about all our activities and goals with K-PBS and especially what we think about Korean culture.
K-Pop Belgium Society on MNM
The Belgian media is finally picking up on the K-Pop craze! In light of the BTS performance at Billboards we were contacted by the flemish radio channel MNM for a live interview about K-Pop.
We couldn’t refuse.
You can listen here to the radio interview of Lena Scheers (K-Pop Belgium Society’s co-founder) with MNM, trying to explain what K-Pop is and why it has such an influence.
